Technical Production Specialist (m/f/d)

The Wood Products division is a leading provider of innovative wood-based solutions. The product range covers all areas of construction, including massive wood elements and wood components. It also includes a variety of sawn timber goods and pellets for sustainable heating. The emerging product range of biocomposites addresses the opportunities to replace plastics in consumer goods and creates potential in various demanding exterior applications in a cost-competitive way.

For our Operation Improvement Team, we are looking for an experienced Technical Production Specialist (m/f/d), who will support the successful ramp up of our future coming projects with the main focus on technology and training the staff at production.

The position could be located at one of the following sites: Ybbs (AT), Bad St. Leonhard (AT), Zdirec (CZ), Gruvön (SWE)

  • This is an information for Austria as required by law. A performance-related salary based on your qualifications, professional experience and market value. The annual gross salary for this position is around € 50.000,00 plus a variable component .


Your tasks and responsibilities:


  • Full responsibility together with local production management and technical project team to start-up a new production line and maintenance according the plan 
  • Establishing training plans and activities for team leaders and operators of the new line as a part of divisional startup team. Practical execution of the planned training.
  • Possibility to act as Machine Specialist in your own speciality area during startups
  • Supporting in daily problem-solving communication between steering or other IT-system’s suppliers, production line and Stora Enso IT during startups. 
  • Participating development of an efficient set up for knowledge transfer and learning of the staff on the new production site.  
  • Supporting and coordinating the creation of needed training material and structure it to fit into used e-learning system 
  • Supporting continuous development of existing operations and best practice sharing when non above is priority  

Your qualifications and experience:

• Preferable minimum two years practical experience as operator of a wood processing production line

  Capable to work in dynamic project environment

• Good technical understanding and interest of the functionalities of the lines
• Experience on technical project work is an advance
• Interest to develop own CLT and other production technology knowledge on expert level
• Motivating and inspiring personality
• Ability to get things done through others
• Very structured working approach and good self-management
• Interested in coaching and training new skills and target oriented working style to operators
• Interested in developing training practices and supporting standard practices, documentation and systems
• Capability to work in international teams and independently
• Proactive, result oriented, willing to take initiative and responsibility
• Good English skills (any other language is an advantage)
• Willingness to travel on a regular basis
