Head of Product Quality (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Head of Product Quality (m/f/d) (full time) to lead the Qualityteam and define common frameworks, processes and policies for the area of product quality in Wood Products. Your location will be Ybbs an der Donau (AT) or Brand (AT) or Bad St. Leonhard (AT) or Zdirec (CZ) or Plana (CZ) or Murow (PL) or Alytus (LTU) or Launkalne (LVA) or Imavrere (EST) or Näpi (EST) or Nebolchi (RUS) or Impilahti (RUS) or Gruvön (SWE) or Ala (SWE) or Honkalahti (FIN) or Varkaus (FIN) or Amsterdam (NLD)and you will be working in Wood Products Division. You will report to our Head of Operations Wood Products.

Your tasks and responsibilities


  • Identify risks to quality and priories actions and processes that mitigate these risks
  • Define and implement product quality systems in wood products
  • Lead the Product Quality team and ensure development of team members
  • Ensure seamless implementation and interfaces between different functions
  • Ensure a suitable governance of quality in the organisation
  • Review and secure necessary competence in quality management on a regular basis
  • Planning and implementing of product quality management trainings
  • Managing quality in the value chain including sub-contractors
  • Maintain frequent customer contact to monitor our ability to deliver expected quality, follow customer feedback
  • Active participation in developing new products in cooperation with Product Development
  • Continuous development and monitoring of the quality management system
  • Ensures that quality reporting is in place and gives a true picture of the product quality
  • Leads a network of mill quality managers and ensures their further development

  • This is an information for Austria as required by law. A performance-related salary based on your qualifications, professional experience and market value. The annual monthly gross salary for this position is minimum € 85.000,00 All-in, company car for private use plus a variable component .




  • Relevant university degree
  • Several years of experience in leadership positions in quality management
  • Experience in the wood processing industry
  • Ability to lead in a matrix without formal authority by providing others with clear direction, setting appropriate standards of behavior and empowering others
  • Ability to cooperate, having a natural interest to involve people and build networks
  • Structured and well-organized working style
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • To be persistent, systematic and drive for results, gets things done
  • Comprehensive view with excellent analytical skills
