Our Data, Analytics & Automation team is looking for a professional Data Analyst in Helsinki/Tallinn/Ostrava with good knowledge of data analysis techniques and a strong interest in developing her/his skills in the ever-expanding world of data and analytics. You would belong to global service function using analytics and data to provide valuable insight and meaningful business impact. 

In this role, you have the chance work with all Stora Enso divisions and Group Functions, and have the perfect opportunity create business value with modern analytics skillset. You will witness the digital transformation of a traditional organisation where you have a key role.


As our Data Analyst you are responsible for:
•    preparing, analysing and interpreting complex data sets
•    data transformation pipelines development and maintenance
•    exploring large datasets, drawing valid conclusions and presenting them successfully to top management using modern reporting tools
•    supporting our business divisions by creating value adding predictive analytics models, increasing efficiency and strengthening revenue
•    preparing reports, building and maintaining data dashboards, graphs and visualizations
•    working in close liaison with internal and external partners to fully understand data content
•    as input for analyses, capturing, understanding and documenting business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques
•    identifying, evaluating and supporting the implementation of external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing
•    contributing to the work of centre of excellence process mining, including but not limited to event logs creation and conducting joint analysis workshops with the business process experts.

In order to succeed in this role, we expect you to have the following skills and competencies:
•    good proficiency with relational databases and SQL (Snowflake, MS SQL)
•    good proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools and data analysis tools (Python, Databricks with PySpark, Power BI / Excel)
•    experience in statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques
•    ability to create predictive analytics models
•    have experiences with or interest towards machine learning
•    ability to produce clear reports and data visualizations
•    knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques
•    understanding of data protection and privacy issues
•    a degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business information systems, computer science, economics, statistics)
•    have solution-oriented attitude and business mindset
•    good communication skills in English

Experience with Big Data, Cloud computing technologies (Azure) and SAP is an asset.
