Solution Architect

Forest Division is on a journey towards becoming a highly digitalized and data-driven organization to continuously develop in sustainability, forest asset management, and wood supply strategic focus areas. Our architecture team is key enabler of that transformation. We are giving the architecture governance, guidance, and are delivering the solution design for best in class forest solutions and platform.


We are now in search of Solution Architect to strengthen our team This position is right one for you if you want to work in a newly formed ICT organization that encourages you to pro-actively challenge the status quo in dealing with work problems and opportunities and is looking for people to improve our ways of working and also to directly impact Forest Division strategic areas: sustainability, forest asset management, and wood supply.


This is an opportunity to own and steer Forest Division solution architecture and best practices that will impact team members, employees in Forest and customers in their daily life when developing, operating and using new digital and data-driven services.   

Your main tasks in this role will be to:


  • Lead the design work of our Forest projects and ongoing maintenance releases; 
  • Translate high-level business requirements into solution design
  • Drive simplification and standardization of the existing IT landscape
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with business and technical stakeholders to secure strong engagement for the solution and ensure that the deliveries are aligned to both business and technical requirements
  • Work closely with project and program management in governing and shaping the delivery of projects
  • Work closely with external suppliers to ensure solution makes best use of technology and meets requirements 
  • Collaborate with other architects in Forest Division and Stora Enso Group IT, and at vendors to ensure that all solutions are complete, operable, conform to business processes, and meet the business needs with the agreed quality of service 
  • Ensure the end-to-end solution is fit for purpose and fit for use especially regarding availability, performance, security and resilience 


What do you need to be successful in this position?


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • Experience of design and development work related to MS Dynamix AX
  • Experience in designing and developing solutions hosted in public cloud (Azure, Google, AWS)
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns
  • Good understanding of API management
  • Experience with working in agile and traditional/waterfall deliveries   
  • Solid English skills – in writing and verbal

  • Experience in designing solutions based Microservice Architecture
  • Understanding of AI/ML technologies
  • Knowledge of forestry/wood supply
