Controller Source to Pay

This position is part of Paper Financial Services function within Stora Enso Paper Division.


Paper division provides best-in-class paper solutions for print media and office use. The wide selection covers papers made from recycled and fresh wood fibre. Our main customer groups include publishers, retailers, printing houses, merchants, converters and office suppliers. Our mills are located in Europe and three of the mills produce paper based on 100%-recycled fibre.    

We are looking for a driven and result oriented 
Controller, Source to Pay, Paper Logistics
to work with a wide range of controlling and analyzing tasks to drive performance improvements in the Paper division’s Logistics Source to Pay processes, in close co-operation with logistics sourcing, logistics invoicing center and purchase to pay teams, logistics suppliers, paper supply chain team members, dispatch, group logistics, mill controlling teams, and others. To succeed in this position, you will have strong analytical skills, as well as strong collaboration and change agent skills.


This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills regarding global supply chains, and related controlling activities
Main responsibilities 


  • Support logistics sourcing with analytics & reports, e.g. regarding tendering, contracting, and carrier management processes
  • Transport cost analysis, forecasting, and accruals
  • Development of logistics invoice handling, e.g. increasing usage of self-bills and automation
  • Support management with performance development, e.g. with KPI selection, action identification & follow-up
  • Support management with development of sourcing strategies and tactics
  • Develop Source to Pay controlling processes
  • Support management with relevant and accurate reports and business analysis
  • Project management and -participation
  • Lead reporting development, e.g. regarding KPI dashboards




  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the finance/controlling area, preferably with logistics or sourcing background
  • Ability to excel and work effectively in a matrix organization  
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written in English, other languages are an advantage
  • Proactivity and result orientation
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand cause and effect relationships
  • Work experience from an international environment 
  • MSc degree in finance or equivalent
  • Ability to handle relevant business / operational tools (SAP/SAP BW, Ms Office, Hyperion, Fenix, Power BI) is an advantage
