Land Logistics Procurement Manager


Stora Enso Paper division is running a project to develop processes and capabilities to be able to operate Logistics procurement activities in future. We are looking for Land logistics procurement manager for Continental European area, first joining the project and later taking responsibilities for procurement in the defined scope. An ideal candidate can support and contribute achieving World Class Supply Chain strategic targets for Paper division.


Position holder reports to VP Supply Chain, Jarkko Pietarinen and will be part of the Paper supply chain and project team.


• Active Project team member for the Land stream under the overall change project
• Implement strategic sourcing processes in defined scope
• Lead and develop Land logistics category in Continental Europe for Paper
• Responsible for Land logistics service level and budget
• Manage and develop Supplier base to meet the needs of Paper customers
• Monitor market development supporting the sourcing strategy and to explore new opportunities

• 5+ years of international commercial experience, preferably in Logistics area
• Knowledge and/or strong interest in rail and road market in Continental-Europe
• University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Economics or equivalent
• Highly structured and systematic, works proactively and result oriented. Takes initiative.
• Understanding of strategic sourcing and/or sales practices
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex agreements with suppliers in different areas
• Strong interpersonal skills are required when engaging with several stakeholders
• Proactive attitude and capable of building trust
• Languages: Fluent in English, other European languages are bonus
• Willingness to travel in Continental Europe.
