Operations Development Process Manager

We are now looking for an Operations Development Process Manager to join our Packaging Materials division. This position is based in Finland or Sweden and involves regular visits to the division’s mills which are located in Heinola, Imatra, Inkeroinen, Oulu, Varkaus, Skoghall, Fors, Antwerp, Ostroleka and Beihai. The role is part of a multinational team of Operations Development experts and reports to Operations Development Director.

About the position 

 

The main objective in this role is to identify and utilise synergies within the division and provide coaching to the operational leaders and employees, and as a direct result, strengthen our operational performance. Your work involves creating continuous improvement programs and concepts (theory into practice) together with the Operations Development team and mills.

 

In addition, you are responsible for the implementation of our continuous improvement strategy, processes and programs. Monitoring and analysis of the current operations performance at the mills and in the division is the foundation of your work. Conducting Continuous Improvement audits together with operation leaders and visiting mills as much as needed in order to provide support and coaching constitute a significant part of your role.

In this versatile role as Operations Development Process Manager we offer an excellent opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our Packaging Materials mill operations and how our renewable materials are produced. Who we are looking for  

 

We are looking for a person with a strong track record in driving change and implementing Lean principals including leadership focus and measurable results. You have excellent interpersonal and proven leadership skills with the ability to involve, motivate and inspire others. You are committed to achieving results and possess strong analytical skills combined with a systematic hands-on approach. This role requires readiness to travel regularly.

 

Skills and qualifications needed in the role: 

  • More than five years of experience in a relevant field (Operations development, Lean etc.) 
  • Technical knowledge and experience in pulp, paper or board production, preferably in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or economics
  • Fluent English skills, both oral and written
