Energy Market Trainee

Stora Enso Energy Services, part of Stora Enso Group Technology, is looking for an Energy Market Trainee to work part-time approximately 10-20 hours per week in our Imatra Office. This is fixed term position for about 1 year.

Stora Enso Energy Services is responsible for operations related to energy procurement and electricity transmission for Stora Enso’s Finnish mill units as well as having an important role related to our ownership in Pohjolan Voima Oyj. In addition to these, the organization is also responsible for supervision of interests concerning energy and energy related issues such as energy efficiency, EU’s emissions trading scheme (ETS), and participates into energy sustainability and energy innovation work inside Stora Enso.
 

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

 

• Energy market follow-up and analysis:
 -  Follow-up of energy commodities markets relevant for SE.
 -  Preparing analyses for Energy Management to support decision making.
 -  Support tasks related to EUA-trading.


• Operational and financial tasks:
 -  Participation to operational execution of natural gas and electricity procurement for Finnish units.
 -  Technical energy reporting to authorities.
 -  Supportive task for energy premises process.
 -  Checking/acceptance of incoming invoices.


• Sourcing tasks:
 -  Participation to energy hedging process.
 -  Administrative tasks related to energy contract management.
 -  Support mills in energy related reporting i.e. internal and external reporting regarding energy sourcing and energy consumption.
 -  Follow-up the supplier performance in the Supplier management tool in order to secure that the key KPIs are met.


• Other tasks defined by the employer.

Qualifications

 

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree studies in a relevant field with a strong economic mindset
• Ability to work both independently and as part of the team
• Ability to take responsibility, work proactively and engage in multi stakeholder environment
• Good language and communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of MS Office tools, especially with Excel and Power Point.
• Experience from energy industry and/or knowledge of energy markets is an advantage
• Experience from collaborative initiatives with multi-stakeholder groups is also an advantage
