Data Architect

The Packaging Solutions division develops and sells premium fiber-based packaging products and services. Stora Enso's high-end eco-friendly packaging products are used by leading brands across multiple market sectors, including the retail, e-commerce and industrial sectors. The portfolio includes converting corrugated board and cartonboard, and converting new materials such as formed fiber and wood foams, as well as design and sustainability services, and circular and automation solutions.

We are now searching for a Data Architect to work on our analytics platform who is able to collaborate with product owners and developers in the data service development team, communicate across all levels of the organization and can work with diverse projects teams. This role can be located in Finland, Czech Republic or other Packing Solutions -location in Europe.
 
Your daily work will consist of responsibilities such as:


•    Lead the data architecture design and data modelling for Packaging Solutions initiatives
•    Work hands-on with the architecture together with the PS Data Services development team
•    Translate business requirements from multiple initiatives into data architecture solution design
•    Drive standardization and improvement of the existing data models, solutions and working methods
•    Audit main data entities regularly to drive quality improvements.
•    Close cooperation with business and IT stakeholders to ensure that data architecture designs become implementation initiatives 
•    Close cooperation with enterprise and solution architects, project and and existing application services management in governing and shaping the delivery of projects
•    Work closely with external suppliers to ensure the agreed data architecture is implemented and meets requirements

Who we are looking for?


What you should have or know to be successful in this position:


•    Solid engineering/technical background in cloud based data platform development
•    Proven track record in data architecture and designing the blueprint of organization´s data framework
•    Hands-on experience with Data Modelling and related tools
•    Experience working in agile deliveries    
•    Good knowledge of technologies for collecting, organizing, storing and accessing company information
•    DevOps and Public cloud experience 
•    Solution oriented and practical working methods leading to concrete outcomes and decisions
•    Ability to communicate technical topics in a way it is easy also for business stakeholders to understand
•    Ability to regularly learn and adopt new technology 
•    Self-drive and high motivation to design best in class solutions
•    Very good English skills – in writing and verbal
•    Snowflake and DBT tool knowledge are an advantage
